Al-Furqan’s Structure

The Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the highest body in Al-Furqan, consisting of the Chairman and members. Its responsibilities include overseeing management, appropriate use of funding, success in attaining the organisation's goals, and shaping the organisation's vision and mission.

The Executive Management of Al-Furqan

The Executive Management is the highest level of organisational management reponsibile for the Foundation’s day-to-day activities. The Management hold specific executive powers conferred on it, with and by authority of the Board of Directors.

The Centres of Al-Furqan and their boards

Al-Furqan consists of three centres:

1. The Manuscript Centre, which deals with studying the Islamic written heritage. This Centre is based in London.

The Manuscript Centre has two boards, i.e.:

- The International Advisory Board

-  The Board of Experts

2. The Maqasid Centre, which focuses on the study of maqāṣid (the philosophy of the Islamic law). This Centre is also based in London.

The Maqasid Centre has two boards, i.e.:

- The International Advisory Board

- The Board of Experts

3. The Makkah and Madinah Centre, which compiles the Encyclopaedia of the two holy cities (Makkah and Madinah) and is housed in the Jeddah branch of Al-Furqan, in Saudi Arabia.

The Makkah and Madinah Centre has two boards, i.e.:

- The Advisory Board

- The Academic Board

Al-Furqan's Offices

Al-Furqan's headquarters is in London. It also has two branches, one in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and another in Cairo, Egypt.
